MOSCOW, July 31 – RIA Novosti. Gazprom supplies gas via Ukraine in the amount confirmed by the Ukrainian side to the GIS Sudja – 42.2 million cubic meters on July 31, the application for GIS Sokhranovka was rejected, the official representative of the Russian company, Sergey Kupriyanov, announced.
As of May 11, Ukraine stopped receiving gas for transit through GIS Sokhranovka, citing that it was under the control of Russian forces (in the territory of the LPR). As a result, for gas transit to Europe there was only one entrance – GIS “Sudzha”. Gazprom stated that it is technologically impossible to transfer all volumes to Souda, that the company complies with all its obligations towards European consumers, and transit services are fully paid.
