MOSCOW, October 14 – RIA Novosti. The current year in Poland has turned out to be record-breaking for new cases of HIV infection, the Ministry of Health of the country believes that due to the “change in social behavior” of citizens and the influx of refugees from Ukraine, the number of infections may increase, informs Interia’s portal.

“The latest data (in particular, epidemiological reports) provided by the National Institute of Public Health – National Research Institute leave no doubt – this year is a record of new cases of HIV infection,” reads the article.

Thus, from the beginning of the year to the end of September, 1,678 HIV infections were detected in the country, while so far the number of newly detected cases has only exceeded the limit of one and a half thousand – in 2019 and 2017.
