MOSCOW, January 18 – RIA Novosti. The Pentagon is using huge stockpiles of US ammunition stored in warehouses in Israel to deliver 155mm rounds to Ukraine, writes The New York Times, citing US and Israeli officials.
The Pentagon is using Israel’s vast but little-known stockpile of American ammunition to meet Ukraine’s urgent need for artillery shells.
Deliveries are made from US warehouses established in the 1970s after the Arab-Israeli conflict, “when the US transported airborne weapons to replenish Israeli forces.”
