MOSCOW, October 24 – RIA Novosti. For Ukraine, it is necessary to develop a “Marshall Plan” on this subject, according to the German publication Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, decided the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who previously said that such a plan would not be enough for Kiev.
“We are talking about nothing but the creation of a new Marshall Plan for the 21st century,” he quotes politicians. They also called for the creation of a country-aid coordinating platform so that funds “go where they are most needed”.
In August, Scholz said that the reconstruction of Ukraine would be more ambitious than the “Marshall Plan” and would cost billions, while peace issues lie only with Ukrainians. In June, Scholz said that the reconstruction of Ukraine would require a new “Marshall Plan”, the discussion on this program for the reconstruction of Ukraine, according to him, was conducted between G7 and EU.
