LUGAŃSKA STATION (LPR), July 2 – RIA Novosti. Eight years ago, a Ukrainian plane raided Stanyca Luhanska, killing 12 civilians, including a five-year-old boy. And although in the following years the territory was under the control of Ukraine, neither Kyiv nor international organizations investigated the tragedy, local residents told RIA Novosti.

“The day before, on July 1, Vanechka had a birthday, he was five years old. The next day he went to lay out pieces of cake for his neighbors. He saw the plane in the sky, stopped and started looking at it,” recalls his godfather, local resident Alexander Barbukov.

At that time, the plane launched a rocket. Papa Wania followed him into the street and was also hit. A total of 12 people died that day – four died on the spot, five on the way to the hospital, and three more died in hospitals from wounds.
