WASHINGTON, December 20 — RIA Novosti. The American oil and gas company Chevron does not intend to refuse to pump oil from Kazakhstan through Russian territory using the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system, decided Mike Wirth, chairman of the company’s board of directors.
«This is a very important country (Kazakhstan — ed.) for global energy markets. Kazakhstan is the largest country in the world, surrounded by land and a large energy producer. A large part of these supplies, a significant part of these energy supplies are sent via a pipeline to the Black Sea to the port of Russian coast,» he told Fox News.
When asked by the host about Chevron’s plans for projects in Kazakhstan, Wirth noted that consumers around the world, including Europe and Asiadepend on oil supplies from Kazakhstan by the CCP, which were not affected by the conflict on Ukraine and anti-Russian sanctions. He added that the authorities of the countries that consume Kazakh oil are counting on the continuation of supplies.
