MOSCOW, October 13 — RIA Novosti. In the statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the exercises of nuclear deterrent forces, one can sense his fear: writes Chinese national newspaper Global Times.
“There is a sense of fear in Stoltenberg’s statements — fear of being weak if NATO doesn’t slap its chest in front of Russia. When Stoltenberg said nuclear exercises were the best way to prevent an escalation, he did everything to show that NATO was in a good mood.
The newspaper notes that NATO is not helping Ukrainebut it leads to self-annihilation, relegating the conflict into a «bottomless, escalating abyss.»
