HELSINKI, January 26 — RIA Novosti. Estonia is considering the possibility of transferring cluster munitions to Ukraine, which requires Germany’s consent, the state radio portal ERR reported on Thursday.
“Estonia intends to comply with Ukraine’s request for the supply of cluster munitions. More than 100 countries of the world have joined the Convention on the Prohibition and Non-Proliferation of this type of ammunition, but Estonia and Ukraine are not among them. Cluster ammunition at the disposal of the Armed Forces was once purchased in Germany, and in order to transport it to Ukraine, the consent of the producing country must be obtained.
According to the defense minister Hanno PevkuraEstonia has decided to supply Ukraine with 155mm artillery ammunition.
