The columnist of «Gazeta» Karolina Kozakiewicz noticed that at the end of September Wojciech Bakun, the president of the bordering Ukraine, said that Ukrainians are involved in extortion of social benefits. According to the mayor, his message «is an objective assessment of the situation in a border town.»
In the near future, the Social Insurance Institution (OSS) informed that the departure of a Ukrainian citizen from Poland for a period longer than a month deprives him of the right to stay legally in the country. Otherwise, the right to the «500+» family allowance will be forfeited. This was reported by OSS spokeswoman Iwona Kowalska-Matis.
