MOSCOW, November 29 — RIA Novosti. The flag of the Azov Battalion*, which they unfurled in the stands during their team’s match against Germany at the World Cup in Qatar, has been taken away from Spanish fans, Ukrainian footballer Roman Zozulya wrote on social networks.
«A few minutes later, FIFA representatives appeared and seized the flag, citing the fact that in their minds it violates certain standards and is allegedly banned,» the athlete complained.
Zozulya called FIFA employees «victims of Russian propaganda».
