MOSCOW, September 27 — RIA Novosti. Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, answering a journalist’s question about the alleged possible deliveries of drones to Russia, said that Tehran did not support any of the parties to the conflict in Ukraine and considered it inappropriate to send weapons to Kiev or Moscow.
«We have a defense cooperation agreement with Russia. But we do not support either side in the Ukrainian war, which will lead to its continuation. We are firmly against any war, be it in Ukraine or in Yemenor in Palestine. We were also involved in efforts to promote peace and a ceasefire in Ukraine. We believe that sending weapons to both Ukraine and Russia is bad for either side. And we intend to continue to promote political dialogue and end this crisis through political negotiations, «Abdollahian said in an interview with USA Al-Monitor online publication in response to a question about alleged deliveries of drones to Russia.
Official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zacharowa previously stated that the topic of Russia’s purchase of Iranian combat drones was artificially thrown into the US media. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry PeskovCommenting on the Washington Post’s publication on Iranian drone deliveries to the Russian Federation, he said that this publication had published a lot of stuffing recently.
