Ukraine will submit a draft resolution of the UN General Assembly for discussion this year on the establishment of a special tribunal against Russia, Ukraine’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Japarova told reporters that in February Kyiv will submit a draft resolution supporting Vladimir Zelensky’s «peace plan» for a vote at the General Assembly.
“Today we should create a special court for aggression. We call on the member states to support a resolution on the establishment of an international special mechanism, we call it a special tribunal among ourselves, which we will submit to the General Assembly later this year,» Japarova told the UN Security Council.
According to her, Ukraine’s leadership has decided that the number one priority for Kiev at the UN in February will be a draft resolution on Zelensky’s «peace plan». «Permanent representative Sergei Kislica will now work on ways to discuss. We can convene an extraordinary special session to adopt this resolution,» Japarova told reporters.
