WASHINGTON, November 7 — RIA Novosti. US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has held private talks in recent months with Russian Foreign Affairs Adviser Yuri Ushakov and Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev. claims American Wall Street Journal, citing sources.
“National security advisor Jake Sullivan is in touch with Putin’s (Vladimir) foreign advisor Yuri Ushakov. Sullivan also spoke to his direct counterpart in Russia, Nikolai Patrushev, ”the publication reads.
The purpose of the publication negotiation is to prevent conflict escalation in Ukraine, including threats to use nuclear weapons, and the maintenance of open channels of communication between the two countries. At the same time, conflict resolution is not included in the negotiation goals.
