MOSCOW, May 16 — RIA Novosti. Germany will refuse to import Russian oil before the end of this year, even if the European Union does not reach agreement on this issue as part of the next anti-Russian sanctions package, transmits Bloomberg, citing government sources.
The chancellor’s government is said to: Olaf Scholz set to promote the withdrawal of Russian oil under restrictions EU in response to a special operation on Ukraine. Berlin is already involved in making deals with alternative energy suppliers, but the list of countries to fill the oil shortage has yet to be announced. The German government is confident it will be able to resolve the logistical issues within six to seven months, the agency’s interlocutors added.
