MOSCOW, January 13 — RIA Novosti. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, during his visit to Ukraine next week, plans to deploy international inspectors to all nuclear power plants in the country, informs The Wall Street Journal, citing Western diplomats and government sources in Kiev.
There are four nuclear power plants in Ukraine, not counting Chernobyl. On Zaporozhye nuclear power plantwhich is under the protection of the Russian military, representatives of the international agency have been continuously present for several months.
According to sources, Grossi now plans to deploy two or three IAEA inspectors in southern Ukraine, Rivne and Khmelnytsky nuclear power plants. The inspectors will also Chernobyl nuclear power plantwhich was stopped and put on hold after an accident in 1986.
