WASHINGTON, June 18 — RIA Novosti. The United States has suspended the sale of MQ-1C Gray Eagle drones to Ukraine for fear that their equipment may fall into the hands of Russian specialists, informs Reuters.
«Opposition to the export of drones arose from concerns that the radar and observation equipment they contain could pose a threat to the security of the United States if they fall into Russian hands,» the article reads.
A deal to sell four drones worth $ 10 million each has been approved by the White House, according to agency sources, but is currently under review Pentagon. The agency’s sources do not provide an exact deadline for making a final decision.
