MOSCOW, May 31 — RIA Novosti. Millions of Britons will face power outages and gas shortages if Russia’s energy supply is further curtailed, warns Times edition.
British authorities are said to have prepared a «worst-case scenario» and responses to it. Six million households could face energy ration in this scenario. «The power failures will take place on weekdays during peak hours in the morning, from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, and in the evening from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm,» the article reads. Doing so could lead to an increase in energy prices and a decline in projected GDP in the coming years.
Moreover, restrictions on the industrial use of gas, including gas-fired power plants, are not ruled out.
