The only checkpoint on the Russian-Norwegian border, Storskog, will be closed to truck traffic from the Russian Federation, and a ban on the entry of ships from the Russian Federation into Norwegian ports, with the exception of fishing ports, said Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt, quoted by the company television and radio NRK.
“We are introducing the fifth package of foreseen sanctions EUin Norway. This means that we are closing the Storskog border crossing for trucks immediately and a number of chemicals will be banned. An exception will be made for Svalbardwhere a special treaty is in force, ”said the minister.
