NEW DELHI, September 16 — RIA Novosti. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the conflict in Ukraine during a meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, informed Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India.
«In the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the prime minister reiterated his call for a swift end to hostilities and the need for dialogue and diplomacy,» reads the statement.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov He said Moscow has never refused to negotiate with Ukraine, hostilities end at the negotiating table, but there is no response from Kiev.
