MOSCOW, July 9 — RIA Novosti. In an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier demanded harsh explanations regarding the cancellation of his visit to Kiev, informs Spiegel, citing sources in both capitals.
The publication notes that immediately after the scandalous episode Berlin he made every effort to resolve the situation, eventually agreeing to a telephone conversation between Steinmeier and Zelensky.
«It was later officially announced that the exchange of views was» very important «for the presidents. Steinmeier expressed his solidarity with Zelensky and received an invitation to Kiev.
