MOSCOW, December 19 — RIA Novosti. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that in the current situation, negotiations on a ceasefire in Ukraine do not make sense, because Russian troops are on the territory of the republic. The words of the head of the British cabinet are transmitted by his office.

«We must make it clear that any unilateral call for a ceasefire by Russia completely meaningless in the current context,” said the Prime Minister.

In his opinion, Russia is using the ceasefire to regroup its troops, so negotiations should be conducted after the withdrawal of its units from Ukraine.
