MOSCOW, August 12 — RIA Novosti. A quarter of Britons who have agreed to accept refugees from Ukraine do not want to leave them for more than six months, writes Daily Telegraph.
A survey of 17,000 UK residents who participated in the Apartment for Ukraine project, carried out by the Statistical Office, found that 26% did not want to participate for more than six months. One fourth of them explained their decision with the rising cost of living.
As the publication recalls, program participants agreed to place Ukrainians in their homes for at least six months, receiving £ 350 from the British government (about 26,000 rubles — editor’s note) a month.
