BRUSSELS, June 8 — RIA Novosti. Members of the European Parliament at the plenary session in Strasbourg adopted a resolution calling on EU countries to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate country to the European Union.
438 MPs supported the resolution, 65 against.
«Members of the European Parliament expressed their will to grant Ukraine candidate status as a clear political signal of solidarity with its citizens,» said the EP in a statement.
