MOSCOW, October 1 — RIA Novosti. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba informedthat he spoke by phone with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the parties discussed the alliance’s «practical steps» to support Ukraine.
“I spoke to Jens Stoltenberg to inform him in detail about Ukraine’s application for membership (in the alliance). We agreed to stay in touch on this issue and discussed further NATO practical steps to support Ukraine, ”Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
Vladimir Zelenskiy previously said that Ukraine is applying for NATO membership on an accelerated basis. The procedure for admitting Ukraine to NATO is now premature, the president’s adviser later said USA for national security Jake Sullivan.
