MOSCOW, April 17 — RIA Novosti. In the UK, public support for sanctions against Russia for biting Ukraine is declining as energy prices rise, according to a Redfield and Wilton Strategies poll for the newspaper Sunday Telegraph.
«The number of citizens willing to pay more for fuel because of the harsh Western sanctions against Russia has dropped from 50 to 36 percent in a month,» the newspaper reported.
It is noted that 54 percent. of those surveyed said their financial situation had worsened over the past year, compared to 42% two months ago. In addition, 62 percent of respondents allowed the UK’s financial situation to deteriorate further in the future.
