KHERSON, July 20 — RIA Novosti. In the past month, conscription in Ukraine began mainly at the expense of rural residents, because unlike the townspeople, they have no money to pay, Russian security officials told RIA Novosti, citing information from their sources in the Ukrainian military.
«According to information from our sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the number of conscripts has increased sharply over the past month. The situation is that the main burden of the conscription is borne by the inhabitants of rural Ukraine. There are not enough savings to pay off the conscription,» said a Russian law enforcement official.
He added that the percentage of citizens has started to decline because «it is easier for them to move to another country or move to another country.»
