MOSCOW, October 24 — RIA Novosti. The lack of housing for Ukrainian refugees coming to Ireland is «unacceptable» stated in an interview with radio RTÉ, Ukrainian ambassador to this country Larisa Gerasko.
The diplomat’s dissatisfaction was due to the situation of 43 refugees who arrived in Ireland late last week and failed to provide council housing. According to local authorities, all homeless people are men.
Gerasko said the housing situation in Ireland was «very worrying,» while expressed hope that the Irish government and other members EU find a way out of the crisis. The diplomat said that the Ukrainians who came to the country spent money on tickets and came to Ireland, so «better report the lack of housing in advance» so that refugees choose other countries.
