MOSCOW, September 17 — RIA Novosti. The US Army wants to increase the domestic production of the 155 mm NATO, GMLR and HIMARS missiles in the coming years in the context of the situation in Ukraine, informs Defense One was released, citing the chief of military supplies, Doug Bush.
«With the support of Congress, they (army commanders) are working to triple the domestic production of 155mm howitzer shells and at least double the production of GMLR and (MLRS) HIMARS in the next few years,» the publication reads.
Bush stressed that the measures taken would be «fundamental» to support Ukraine, as well as «replenishment» of American reserves.
