WASHINGTON, April 19 — RIA Novosti. The US Treasury Department has allowed nonprofits to conduct humanitarian and «democratic support» financial transactions on Russian Federation territory, according to a general license issued by the ministry on Tuesday.
According to the document, «all financial transactions by non-profit organizations» are prohibited under the laws against Russia sanctions are allowed where they concern «activities related to humanitarian projects in Ukraine and Russia, as well as projects supporting democracy ”in these two countries.
An exception to the sanctions are also transactions related to projects in the field of education, non-profit projects in the field of health protection and environmental protection.
